The speaker strongly condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union Government of India for the alleged use of force against students during the protest held on 22 July 2026, which demanded the abolition of NEET and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The speaker stated that their organization had been the first to launch a movement against NEET, not only in Tamil Nadu but across India. According to the statement, medical, engineering, and arts and science college students from across Tamil Nadu had been brought together to organize a large protest conference in Chennai at Kamarajar Arangam in memory of Anitha. It was further stated that the conference, presided over by former Supreme Court Justice Justice Rajan, had brought together educationists, medical professionals, political leaders, and members of the film industry from different parts of India.

The speaker described the police action that had taken place in Delhi as unacceptable and deserving of strong condemnation. The statement called upon all political parties and organizations across India to unite and launch a determined movement against NEET. It further asserted that any political party, whether in government or opposition, that failed to take a firm stand against NEET would be viewed as complicit in the deaths of more than twenty students from Tamil Nadu who, according to the statement, had lost their lives because of the examination system.

The speaker also urged the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, to convene an all-party meeting without delay to build a unified stand against NEET. The statement further appealed to the Chief Minister to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and take the necessary steps to secure a permanent exemption from NEET for Tamil Nadu.
