Our Journey
From Field Struggles to the Political Arena
Having fought uncompromisingly in various struggle arenas across Tamil Nadu for the political rights of the Tamil people including art, culture, natural resources, language, education, industry, and employment we have decided to expand our struggle into the much broader political field.
While we continue to stand in field struggles, our policy is also to participate in the political arena to win back our rights. The central and state ruling powers ruthlessly uproot all our rights using the weapon of politics. Therefore, we wish to reclaim our rights by taking up the same weapon of politics. Based on this, we, as students and youth, have made a firm decision with the support of our people, and today we proudly announce the launch of a new party called the Tamil Perarasu Katchi.
Although there are several parties and organizations fighting for the rights of the Tamil people, we believe we will emerge as a firm new force in the democratic battlefield. "Action before words" has been our political strategy so far, and it will continue. Therefore, we will gain the immense support of the Tamil people through our clean actions. We did not start the party and then go looking for support; rather, we saw the support of the people in many fields and took this decision after facing severe repression. We, the younger generation who fought and won in the Jallikattu struggle, will also succeed in the political field.
Our Strategy
War for Reclaiming Tamil Ethnic Rights
We belong to one of the world\'s most ancient ethnic groups. But today, our water resources have been destroyed, and our land has been made infertile. Our farmers are being driven to suicide without a way to live. The fishing rights of our fishermen are being snatched away, and they are being killed day by day. Education and social justice rights for our students are being denied, and the imposition of Hindi and Sanskrit against our Tamil language continues to increase. The history, art, literature, and cultural rights of the ancient Tamils are being obscured. All our natural resources are being destroyed and minerals are being looted. We continue to fight against all these atrocities.
In addition, we have fought firmly in many struggle arenas including the killing of twenty Tamils in Andhra Pradesh on allegations of wood cutting, the right to life for Eelam Tamils, Sterlite, Neutrino, Methane, sand looting, NEET, and the release of seven Tamils.
From the non-violent struggles we conducted in Avaniyapuram to the intellectual weapon struggle we took to the UN, we have been fighting continuously for the welfare of Tamils.
We begin our political journey with maternal love, integrating people of other languages who have lived with us for a long time, and with a commitment to creating an egalitarian society without caste or religious differences.
We have proudly named it the Tamil Perarasu Katchi as a head-held identity that reminds us of the great history of our Raja Raja Cholan and Rajendra Cholan, who ruled South Asia and Southeast Asia a thousand years ago. Furthermore, we carry in our hearts the dream of a Great Tamil Empire (Tamil Perarasu) envisioned by the Father of Tamils, Si. Pa. Adithanar.
With the symbols of the Cheras, Cholas, and Pandyas the Bow, Tiger, and Fish as the central emblem, and the colored circles representing our policy red for revolution, yellow for bravery, green for greenery, and blue for the sea and sky we have also created and introduced a new flag.
To protect the Tamil race, the Tamil language, and Tamil wealth, we begin our firm journey with the immense support of Tamils worldwide.
